We are going to read a book called Arthur's Computer Disaster. After reading the book, we will talk about what it means to be safe on a computer and what kinds of fun activities you can do on computers. We will then create a page in a class book telling why we think computers are great! Let's get started!

We will review some of the vocabulary words that we learned last year. We will review the home row keys on a keyboard and some of the special keys that we use. We will label and color the home row keys and special keys on a picture of a keyboard. If we have time, we will play Keyboard Ninja and practice using the home row keys with the correct fingers on the keyboard.

We are going to learn about jack-o-lanterns today. We will read part of a book about jack-o-lanterns. We will discuss how a jack-o-lantern's face might look and make a list of words to describe the jack-o-lantern's face. Finally, we will use Google Draw to create a jack-o-lantern picture.

We are going to review what we know about internet safety. We will watch a BrainPop video about internet safety and complete some of the activities on BrainPop.

We are going to create a holiday picture using Google Documents. The first part of this project will involve typing some Christmas words on a Google Document. We will then format the words to create a Christmas tree picture.

We are going to explore coding some more and learn about algorithms. We will practice creating algorithms by doing graph paper programming!

We are going to review what we've learned about algorithms and programs. We will trade our programs created last week and see if someone can follow your program to create the pattern that you choose. If we have time, we will do some programming using an Angry Birds coding activity.

We are going to review how to copy and paste on our computers. We will also learn how to cut and paste. We will practice each of these activities by completing a matching activity on our computers.
